First Day of School!

Today was the first day of school. Abbey started third grade and Brady started Kindergarten! I thought for sure I would be an emotional wreck...but I held myself together pretty well. I did get a bit teary eyed during the reading of "The Kissing Hand" by the school librarian, but Brady was up on stage at that point with the rest of the kindergarteners and couldn't see me being all weepy! Both kids had a great first day, Brady has talked a lot about the fire drill...but would you expect anything less from a boy?!? Abbey of course met some new people and is excited about changing classes for the first time! So after their first big day of school, the school board decides to cancel school for the next two days for Tropical Storm Fay then they go back on Thursday for two more days and then they're off for the weekend! I guess it's a nice way to ease back into the school year!

I COULDN'T HELP IT.... I GOT ALL TEARRY-EYED JUST WATCHING YOUR VIDEO. Will I wear it out if I keep watching it over and over. Where did you find tht cool song in the background? If I may just say again, I'm so thankful for this technology. Do you realize it would all have escaped me if you had not posted and shared this day with us.... WOW (as Brother Gary would say). Thank You, Thank You. I love those two little niblets and love watching them grow up. And I love you.

I too got all teary-eyed watching the video! How in the world did you keep it together???

You didn't stay the whole day at school did you?

Would you believe the school "recommends" not eating lunch at school with the kids for the first two weeks!!! That seems a little harsh to me! I think I've been just as emotional watching the video as you guys too!

Brady is so cute and grown up looking with his bookbag and lunch box. I was amazed how much he looks like Bro. Matt in the picture of the two of them, I usually think he favors you more.
