Better Late than Never!

So, I totally forgot to post pictures from Kelly's baby shower. We had a great time and everything turned out perfect. The weather started off kind of gloomy, but turned into a beautiful day before it was over. We played an intriguing game of "guess that baby food." And, Kelly got a lot of really nice gifts. We are so excited to see Joshua. The countdown is now 11 days give or take a few!

The Grandma's to be: above - Jim's Mom, Val and below - our Mom aka Borrowed Gramma, Beverly!

All the "Milla Girls" together (and for those of you who don't know, that's what we were referred to back in high school by our drama teacher).

This is our wonderful British friend/realtor/Kelly's boss who could say the meanest nastiest thing (but doesn't) and it sounds like roses rolling off her tongue! She is a hoot!

Now these are the Wells girls below(aka Aunt Carolyn, Debra and Denise) - Denise was a wonderful help, not only did she clean up my kitchen after the party but she vacuumed my carpets! I told her for as much work as she did cleaning up, she may as well of had the party at her house and gotten her house cleaned up by others for free! :-)

My Mom's youngest sister, Sandee and her daughter Ashley...you know the one who asked Brady to be in her wedding. This is a competitive game of name that baby food. And Ashley was the winner with the tie breaker guess of "Guava"!

These are the duck and turtle cupcakes I made, they were both adorable and yummy!

This was the hit gift of the party along with the singing/dancing duck. Both the duck and the turtle entertained us immensely. Each person had to test out the toys when they went around the room. These were given by Val's cousin Grace who is pictured below. Grace also made these beautiful lollipops to give out as party favors. As you can see we had a blast and are looking forward to our next party!

Kimberly was in charge of the games. I couldn't have done it without her!

First Let me Say stricklly from a guys pespective. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT UP A GAME LIKE "GUESS THAT BABY FOOD" It made my skin crawl just thinking of it but then when I heard the tie breaker was "Guava". Someone (Berle) has a warped sense of humor. I can still remember days of feeding babies and somehow having to taste things like peas and ham & chicken "N" guess what. But "GUAVA". ooooohhhhhhhuuuggghhh. They ought to have things like "Bufflo Chicken Yumm-Yumms" or Poppa's Grilled Steak and Potatoes. I really don't think Brady is any worse for wear just because on his 1 year birthday, I let him have a lick of icing from his Elmo Cake. It was very good and I think they should have a baby food call "Baby Elmo Birthday Cake Puree". I would not have minded trying to guess the flavors of the Duck and Turtle cup cakes or cousin Graces Lollipops. What a great job you guys did. Aint my Kelly Beautiful. Well, all of my babies are. They take after their Momma. I'm glad you all had a great time. I loved the Pics

Well Poppa, let me correct you by saying that Brady was only 6 months old when you let him have icing off of Abbey's 3 year old Elmo b-day cake...but you are right he was no worse for the wear from it! :-)

You ladies do know how to do a shower. I was impressed with the "Cowboy" one recently also. Great Goings.

I was hoping you didn't remember that little detail. It didn't sound nearly as bad that Brady was one year old.... 6 months is pushing it a little, I guess. Sorry, never mind. Maybe thats why he does not like pink. Whats a Poppa to do?

What a lovely party it looks like you ladies had!! I LOVE the cupcakes. They are so cute and creative. And what a neat idea for a game. I don't think I've ever seen that done. I need to store all these great ideas away for future use!

If Poppa can get his Steak and potatoes to mash up enough for Lindsey, I will let her eat them. And for the record, I try all of the girls' baby food -- its come along way since the time you were trying it!

The shower was awesome and I am looking forward to the next one!
