Operation Crib Sleeper

I am at my wits end with Little Miss So-n-So! I have NEVER dealt with a baby who is so chill and calm during the day and so difficult at night.  Let me rephrase, she is only difficult when she is not sleeping in her "booster bed."  Here is a picture of what she LOVES to sleep in:

The child will take 3 hour naps during the day and then sleep all night in this thing.  However, the moment we try to wean her from this contraption that she is clearly outgrowing, she wakes multiple times throughout the night.  Sometimes she will put herself back to sleep but mostly she requires a paci to be put back in her mouth.  With her and Kinley sharing a room, the cry it out method is very difficult since we do not want Kinley's sleep to be disrupted.  We thought we'd be sneaky and get her to sleep in a pack-n-play in Matthew's office and when she got used to sleeping in that move her into the crib.  But alas, the little turkey will still not sleep in her crib.  So as a last ditch effort, this weekend we are going to disassemble her crib and move it to the office.  This is only temporary until we can get her sleeping through the night IN HER CRIB, and then we will reclaim the office.  I tell you what, this old momma needs her some sleep!

Don't let that sweet angelic face fool you! She's the baby and she knows how to work it!

As soon as I saw that picture I thought “Oh but look at that precious chubby little face so innocently sleeping” LOL!!!! This so reminds me of what we went through with the twins. It’s agony having to jump up in the middle of the night like you are on fire so you can race to the other room and grab the screaming baby to get her/him to quiet down so as not to wake the other child in the room. We had to move James to our guest room (his crib was easier to move) when we lived out in the country for the crying out phase. Good luck on your endeavors and hoping for much needed sleep for you :)

I hope the sleeping is getting better! Maybe our "booster bed" will be a charm and Little Miss will be a good sleeper too!
